The project's first Learning, Teaching and Training activity (LTT1) took place at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium in Hobro, Denmark. Students and teachers from Iceland, Türkiye and Denmark spent the week connecting climate science with practical, creative work.
Highlights included:
- Sessions on climate science and the green transition led by the Danish climate NGO VedvarendeEnergi
- A climate-negotiation role-play, where pupils represented different European countries and institutions
- A workshop on building digital learning tools and apps
- A site visit to Eurowind Energy A/S to see wind and solar parks up close
- Group work designing real climate action plans
The week set the tone for the whole project: learning by doing, across cultures, with a strong link between the classroom and the real world.
